London & South East Tutoring & 11+

We are:

Jackie B based in Pitshanger, Ealing.

Jackie has extensive experience of early years, tutoring for the 11Plus and the new Durham CEM exam. Jackie tutors from home after school.

Sam P based in Charlotte Street WC1. Available to travel within a reasonable radius of Central London.

Sam is a straight 'A' student studying English at UCL. His English teaching is inspirational as a result of his studies and also his work at the 'Way with Words' Festival over the years in Dartington. He can tutor either for the 11 Plus in general or specifically English. (Don't worry his Maths is excellent too!)

We provide all the tutoring your child will need for the North and West London Independent and Grammar Schools' 11+

Teaching is either one to one at you own home or in small groups (three to five pupils, depending on ability). We study Verbal Reasoning, Non Verbal Reasoning (all forms), English and Maths.

Tutoring starts in Year 5, a year before sitting the 11+ Entrance Examination. Our success rate is excellent, but even if your child's ability is not of 11+ standard, the tutoring will always be beneficial to their schoolwork.

Places are limited each year but we take bookings up to three years in advance. We have an excellent track record of exam success.

Master Classes run in the holidays and are a great way to boost a specific area of weakness in VR, English or Maths.

Nearer the time, Mock Exams are a great way to test skills and knowledge in true exam conditions. Mock Exams will start in September of Year 6 and are held at a local venue in Ealing.

London and nearby 11+ Examinations

In order to qualify for a place at a selective school a pupil must be successful in the chosen school’s 11+ examination.

Independent Schools either have their own 11+ Entrance Examination or are in a consortium which administers the same exam on behalf of several schools. These exams take place in January and successful candidates are called to interview a few weeks later.
